[The mechanisms of carbon monoxide inhalation on the apoptosis of pulmonary cells in rats with acute lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide].
To investigate the effects of carbon monoxide (CO) inhalation on the apoptosis of pulmonary cells in rats with acute lung injury (ALI) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and to investigate its mechanisms. ⋯ CO inhalation protects lung from injury by regulating oxidative/anti-oxidative and inflammatory/anti-inflammatory disorders, inhibiting excessive cell apoptosis and up-regulating HO-1 expression, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of LPS-induced ALI.

[The relationship between mouth pressure or tracheal pressure and esophagus pressure and diaphragmatic pressure].
To investigate the relationship between mouth pressure (Pmo) or tracheal pressure (Ptr) and esophagus pressure (Pes) or transdiaphragmatic pressure. ⋯ The measurement of MIP and TwPmo should be repeated and the highest value should be chosen in order to reduce the possibility of underestimating the function of diaphragm, which could be dynamically monitored by TwPtr(nar).

[Differential expression of the three hypoxia-inducible factor alpha subunits in pulmonary artery of rats with hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension].
To differentiate the expression patterns of all hypoxia-inducible factor alpha (HIF-alpha) subunits (HIF-1alpha, HIF-2alpha and HIF-3alpha) in pulmonary artery of rats undergoing systemic hypoxia. ⋯ The differential expression of the three HIF-alpha subunits may play a role in the development of hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension.

[Effects of aerosolized perfluorocarbon on gas exchange, respiratory mechanics and hemodynamics in a swine model of acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To investigate the effects of aerosolized perfluorocarbon (PFC) on gas exchanges, respiratory mechanics and hemodynamics in a swine model of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ⋯ It is suggested that aerosolized PFC increases arterial oxygenation, compliance, and expiratory tidal volume in extended detergent-induced ARDS.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study[Application of pulmonary infection control window as switching point for sequential invasive to noninvasive ventilation in treatment of severe respiratory failure of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: a randomized controlled study].
To evaluate the feasibility and the efficacy of early extubation and sequential noninvasive mechanical ventilation (MV) switched by pulmonary infection control window (PIC window) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with exacerbated hypercapnic respiratory failure. ⋯ Early extubation followed by non-invasive MV initiated at the point of PIC window may decrease the duration of invasive MV and improve the prognosis.
