Randomized Controlled TrialEffectiveness of an early intervention on infant feeding practices and "tummy time": a randomized controlled trial.
To assess the effectiveness of a home-based early intervention on infant feeding practices and "tummy time" for infants in the first year of life. ⋯ The home-based early intervention delivered by trained community nurses significantly improved some infant feeding practices and resulted in earlier daily practice of tummy time.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyEffects of prophylactic indomethacin in extremely low-birth-weight infants with and without adequate exposure to antenatal corticosteroids.
To examine whether treatment with antenatal corticosteroids modifies the immediate and long-term effects of prophylactic indomethacin sodium trihydrate in extremely low-birth-weight infants. ⋯ We find little evidence that the effects of prophylactic indomethacin vary in extremely low-birth-weight infants with and without adequate exposure to antenatal corticosteroids. Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyA randomized controlled trial of parental asthma coaching to improve outcomes among urban minority children.
To investigate whether asthma coaching decreases emergency department (ED) visits and hospitalizations and increases outpatient asthma monitoring visits. ⋯ This parental asthma coaching intervention increased outpatient asthma monitoring visits (although infrequent) but did not decrease ED visits.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyEffects of a peer-led asthma self-management program for adolescents.
To evaluate the effectiveness of a peer-led asthma self-management program for adolescents. ⋯ An asthma self-management program led by peer leaders is a developmentally appropriate approach that can be effective in assisting adolescents with asthma in improving their attitudes and quality of life, particularly for males and those of low socioeconomic status.

Randomized Controlled TrialA randomized controlled trial of home injury hazard reduction: the HOME injury study.
To test the efficacy of installing safety devices in the homes of young children on total injury rates and on injuries deemed a priori modifiable by the installation of these devices. ⋯ An intervention to reduce exposure to hazards in homes led to a 70% reduction in the rate of modifiable medically attended injury.
