Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical TrialDiclofenac drops to treat inflammation after cataract surgery.
To compare the anti-inflammatory effect of topical diclofenac sodium 0.1% in a fixed combination with gentamicin 0.3% to the anti-inflammatory effect of dexamethasone phosphate 0.1% in a prospective randomized double-masked double-dummy study in patients undergoing cataract surgery. ⋯ While both treatments were effective at controlling post-operative inflammation, the diclofenac-gentamicin combination followed by diclofenac alone was significantly better at suppressing flare and cells but showed a slightly higher incidence of punctate keratitis and eye discomfort.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical TrialInfluence of topical treatment on epithelial wound healing and pain in the early postoperative period following photorefractive keratectomy.
To evaluate the effect of topical treatment given immediately after photorefractive keratectomy. ⋯ Postoperative topical diclofenac and dexamethasone used during the first three days following photorefractive keratectomy may affect the epithelial healing and early visual rehabilitation.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical TrialA comparison of the efficacy and tolerability of dorzolamide and acetazolamide as adjunctive therapy to timolol. Oral to Topical CAI Study Group.
To compare the efficacy and tolerability of dorzolamide to acetazolamide. ⋯ Mean IOP was slightly lower (by approximately 1 mmHg) with acetazolamide, while dorzolamide demonstrated much better tolerability.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical TrialComparison of Fucithalmic viscous eye drops and Chloramphenicol eye ointment as a single treatment in corneal abrasion.
To compare the healing of the cornea and the incidence of infection after traumatic corneal epithelial defect after single treatment with double bandage combined with either Fucithalmic single unit dose eye drops or chloramphenicol eye ointment. ⋯ The Fucithalmic and chloramphenicol ointment treated groups showed no significant difference in corneal healing, local side effects, or signs of local infection.
