Climate changes evidenced by an increase in our planet's mean temperature, changes in rainfall, increased sea level and extreme weather conditions, favor air and soil contamination, ocean acidification, droughts, floods, heat waves and forest fires, which affect the health and wellbeing of exposed populations. These changes will exert negative effects on respiratory and cardiovascular systems, nutritional status, burden of infectious diseases, especially vector-borne infections, and human mental health. ⋯ It is imperative to achieve the immediate commitment of worldwide national governments to control green-house gas emissions. The appropriate technology does exist, but political will is urgently needed to accomplish this goal.

[Effects of pharmaceutical counseling on the effectiveness of anticoagulation in patients with atrial fibrillation].
Vitamin K antagonists such as acenocoumarol and warfarin are usually indicated for the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AF). The Therapeutic Range Time (TRT) is a quality of treatment indicator. Values greater than 65% are associated with significantly lower stroke and bleeding rates. Proper pharmaceutical care improves TRT. ⋯ Pharmaceutical care in patients with oral anticoagulant treatment improves TRT of anticoagulation. It is accepted and positively evaluated by patients.

Case Reports[Coronary aneurysm secondary to Kawasaki disease in an adult. Report of one case].
Kawasaki disease (KD) can be a primary cause of an acute coronary syndrome in young adults, with or without a history of KD during childhood. We report a 31year old female, admitted for acute chest pain. She had negative T waves on DIII and AVF leads of the electrocardiogram. ⋯ The left coronary artery had no visible lesions. A computed angiogram showed an extensive calcified and thrombotic aneurysm of the right coronary artery, compatible with Kawasaki disease (KD). The patient was discharged seven days after admission in good conditions.

[Positron emission tomography-CT scan (PET-CT) in the diagnosis of large vessel vasculitis].
Vasculitides are a broad group of diseases that can involve any kind of vessel in any organ. These can be classified according to the size of the affected vessels. The most used classification categorizes them in small, medium, and large vessel vasculitis. ⋯ Radiology plays an important role identifying distribution patterns and disease extension18. Fluorine-Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET-CT shows increased vessel wall FDG uptake in patients with active large vessel vasculitis. Multiple studies show that FDG PET-CT helps to identify the anatomic structures with the disease, as well as evaluate its progression with a high sensibility and specificity in non-treated patients with large vessel vasculitis.

[Degree of association between healthcare indicators and poverty measures in Chile over the period 1992-2017].
More than half of the worlds's population is deprived of essential healthcare services. In consideration of this, the World Health Organization introduced the concept of Social Determinants of Health to improve the awareness of this problem. ⋯ Poverty calculated on the basis of income alone is an inadequate predictor of health deprivations; multidimensional poverty performs better. However, poverty and health indicators have become progressively less associated. Therefore, it becomes necessary either to adapt the health indicators included in Multidimensional Poverty Index to the current health challenges or to implement a Multidimensional Health Deprivation Index, with a view to improving the integration of health within the current social policy framework.
