[Epidemiology and clinical features of malignant melanoma. Analysis of 274 cases].
Malignant melanoma (MM) is the most fatal cutaneous neoplasm. Its incidence is increasing progressively, which cannot be explained only by early diagnosis. Chilean population, due to the geography of the country, has a very varied solar exposure. ⋯ No association between the level of sun exposure and the incidence of MM was observed in this study.

[Association between educational level and suspicion of cognitive imparirment in Chilean older people].
A low education level has been associated with cognitive impairment in older adults. ⋯ Older adults with low education attainment had an increased likelihood of developing suspicion of cognitive imparirment. However, the risk differs by sex, being higher in women than men.

[The impact of COVID-19 on the health status of older people in Chile].
The article presents the main impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the health status of older people, systematizing the information about the direct impact of the pandemic in terms of number of cases, hospitalizations, deaths, the policies implemented for the prevention and management of COVID-19 in older people and the indirect impact of the two years of pandemic. Adopting a broad definition of health, the need to monitor and recover health care of older people is highlighted. ⋯ The policies towards institutionalized older people must be revised. These areas should be the focus of health care policies for older people in Chile.

[Implementation of a fracture liaison service. Experience with 177 patients].
Every year about 9 million fragility fractures (FF) occur worldwide and 80% of these are underdiagnosed or undertreated. Aiming to close the gap of diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) were developed. ⋯ The implementation of the FLS was successful with a 40% enrolment of patients, receiving certification by the IOF.

A work that dignifies, that is adequately rewarded and is carried out with social protection is considered decent by the International Labor Organization. ⋯ The dignity of medical work is understood by doctors as a polysemic and relational concept.
