[Prevalence of loneliness among older people living in rural areas. Differences by ethnic group and predictor variables].
Loneliness is one of the most recurrent public health problems in older people. However, there is little data available in Chile on its prevalence in people over 60 years of age living in rural areas and belonging to native or Afro-descendant groups. ⋯ Loneliness in rural areas is higher in older people, and this situation becomes more complex at the crossroads of ethnic-cultural diversity; it is necessary to continue to address this problem that affects biopsychosocial well-being in old age.

[Effect of Sedentary behaviors on the Interaction Between the FTO Gene and Adiposity Levels in Chilean Adults - Results from the GENADIO Study].
The Fat-mass and obesity-associated-gene (FTO gene) and sedentary behavior time are associated with obesity. However, whether sedentary behavior time can modify the genetic predisposition to obesity in the Chilean population is unknown. Therefore, this study investigated the association between sedentary behavior, adiposity markers, and the FTO gene. ⋯ The association between sedentary behaviors and adiposity markers, especially body weight and WC, is higher in individuals who carry the risk variant of the FTO gene.

[User Profiles for the Integrated Family and Community Health Care Model in the Alto Hospicio, a commune of a northern region of Chile].
The study presents comprehensive profiles of Primary Health Care Centers of the Alto Hospicio Commune users. ⋯ Those Health Centers that provide more information about MAIS show better indicators regarding knowledge of health services and user satisfaction. The changes in public health policies and the implementation of the Comprehensive Family and Community Health Care Model require clarifying user profiles according to the characteristics of each health center, its population, and the territory, as well as sharing best practices between health centers.

[Factors associated with the perception of loneliness among older people living in the community].
Chilean community-dwelling older people are a vulnerable population with a high risk of being self-perceived as lonely. ⋯ Preventive strategies and age-appropriate psychosocial interventions to mitigate or reverse the impact of these factors may be essential to reduce the self-perception of loneliness and consequently improve older people's well-being.

Observational Study[Risk factors and predictors of drug resistance in tuberculosis: A comprehensive analysis of cases in Chile (2014-2018)].
Determine the risk factors associated with drug resistance and unsuccessful treatment of tuberculosis in Chile between 2014 and 2018. ⋯ The risk factors identified as relapse and coinfection with HIV as predictors of drug resistance highlight the complexity of disease management. Likewise, the presence of street situations, drug addiction, and alcoholism highlights the need for specific approaches to address tuberculosis in different population groups, suggesting the need for personalized strategies.
