Observational Study[Muscle ultrasound: reliability across experience levels in critical care physiotherapists].
Muscle ultrasound is a valid tool to monitor muscle mass loss in critically ill patients. The level of experience is essential to the accuracy of the measurements. ⋯ Interobserver reliability was excellent for experienced raters and moderate to good for novice raters. The level of experience could determine the reliability of the results.

[Severity of community-acquired pneumonia due to coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in immunocompetent hospitalized adult patients].
The acute respiratory illness caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) has spread throughout the world, causing significant morbidity and mortality. ⋯ Age, male sex, comorbidities, altered mental status and vital signs, renal dysfunction, and elevation of inflammatory parameters were associated with a higher risk of severe COVID-19. These may serve as useful baseline parameters in developing prediction tools for COVID-19 prognosis.

Case Reports[Myocardial infarction with elevation of the inferior and anterior ST segment: double artery is the culprit?].
Chest pain is one of the most frequent reasons for consultation in the emergency department. The most severe pathologies must be quickly ruled out within the diagnostic hypotheses: myocardial infarction (MI), aortic dissection, pulmonary thromboembolism, and pneumothorax. A frequent scenario is ST elevation MI due to a plaque accident. ⋯ We present the case of a 59-year-old man who presented chest pain and an electrocardiogram with inferior and anterior ST-segment elevation who was referred for primary angioplasty. The angiographic study confirmed the presence of a coronary ostium defect and suggested aortic dissection. Computed tomography angiography confirmed the diagnosis, showing the dissection of the ascending aorta with the compromise of both coronary ostia, which was subjected to surgical treatment.

[Clinical features of blastic plasmacytoid dendritic neoplasm in Chile: report of 10 cases].
Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare malignant tumor with a dismal prognosis, with isolated case reports in Chile. The BPDCN can present skin and bone marrow compromise, and its diagnosis is frequently confused with other pathologies. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical and immunophenotypical features of BPDCN in the Chilean population. ⋯ Our study found that BPDCN, a rare pathology in the Chilean population, shows a similar clinical presentation compared to previous studies. It is susceptible to respond to initial systemic and intrathecal chemotherapy.

[Saved myocardium in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction post-reperfusion: Analysis by cardiac magnetic resonance].
To quantify by cardiovascular magnetic resonance the salvaged myocardium in the myocardium supplied by the infarct-related artery in reperfused and non-reperfused patients with a first ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). ⋯ The results of this study indicate the need to reassess the performance of coronary angioplasty and stent implantation in patients with a first STEMI, thrombolysis, and non-thrombolysis without prior myocardial viability studies. Cardiac magnetic resonance allows the quantification of salvaged myocardium and could be considered an emerging clinical application for the early evaluation of myocardial viability.
