Meta Analysis[Mid- to long-term outcomes of cervical disc arthroplasty for symptomatic cervical disc disease: a meta-analysis].
Objective: To compare the benefits and harms of cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA) with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion(ACDF) for symptomatic cervical disc disease at mid- to long-term follow-up. Methods: Electronic searches were made in PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials with at least 48 moths follow-up. Outcomes were reported as relative risk or standardized mean difference. ⋯ Conclusions: CDA can significantly reduce the rates of secondary surgical procedures compared with ACDF. Meanwhile, CDA is superior or equivalent to ACDF in other aspects. As some studies without double-blind are included and some potential biases exites, more randomized controlled trials with high quality are required to get more reliable conclusions.

Meta Analysis Comparative Study[Comparison of total disc replacement versus fusion for lumbar degenerative disc disease: a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials].
To compare the related clinical outcomes of total disc replacement (TDR) versus fusion in management of lumbar degenerative disc disease (LDDD)and provide available basis for choice of surgical procedure. ⋯ Regardless TDR may be more effective comparable to lumbar fusion at the immediate postoperative time, vigorous evidence is still requisite to certify the result in long-term follow-up.

Meta Analysis Comparative Study[Comparison of the cardioprotection between crystalloid and blood cardioplegia in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery: a meta-analysis].
To compare the cardioprotection effect between blood and crystalloid cardioplegia during cardiac surgery in adult patients, and provide a theoretical basis for optimal myocardial protection strategies. ⋯ The blood cardioplegia is no difference with crystalloid cardioplegia in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

Meta Analysis[Effect of perioperative glucose-insulin-potassium infusions on the prognosis in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting: a meta-analysis].
To assess the effect of perioperative glucose-insulin-potassium (GIK) infusions on the prognosis in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting. ⋯ GIK significantly reduces myocardial injury and improves cardiac function in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting, but also increases the incidence of postoperative atrial fibrillation.

Meta Analysis[Unilateral versus bilateral pedicle screw fixation in lumbar spinal fusion: a meta-analysis of available evidence].
To evaluate the effectiveness of unilateral versus bilateral pedicle screw fixation in lumbar spinal fusion. ⋯ Both unilateral and bilateral pedicle screw fixation are effective in lumbar spinal fusion. To compare with bilateral fixation, unilateral fixation can shorten operation time, reduce amount of bleeding and medical expenses. And there is a similar effect of inpatient stay, fusion rate, complication rate and excellent and good rate.
