Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Comparative study of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery vs thoracic tube drainage in synthetic therapy for malignant pleural effusion secondary to non-small cell lung cancer].
To study the value of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and identify its indications in synthetic therapy for malignant pleural effusion secondary to non-small cell lung cancer. ⋯ Video-assisted thoracoscopic pleurectomy can effectively control MPE and improve the quality of life for NSCLC patients with MPE, but failed to significantly improve the patients' survival rate in comparison with tube drainage. Except for grade IV, grades I, II and III according to CT findings all can be indications of VATS.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Acute normovolemic hemodilution combined with controlled hypotension in patients undergoing liver tumorectomy].
To evaluate the effects of acute normovolemic hemodilution (ANH) combined with controlled hypotension on reducing heterogeneous transfusion and safety during liver tumorectomy. ⋯ ANH combined with controlled hypotension is safe and effective for decreasing and even avoiding homologous blood transfusion in liver tumorectomy.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Effects of subanesthetic dose of ketamine on perioperative serum cytokines in orthotopic liver transplantation].
To evaluate the effects of ketamine on perioperative serum cytokine levels in patients undergoing orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). ⋯ Ischemia and reperfusion injury of the liver and surgical stress induce pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokine responses during liver transplantation, in which event IL-6 and IL-10 are more sensitive than TNF-alpha. Ketamine can inhibit the production of TNF-alpha and IL-6 but not IL-10.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with sufentanil and fentanyl after thoracotomy: a comparative study].
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of sufentanil and fentanyl at equivalent dose for patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) after thoracotomy. ⋯ PCIA with sufentanil provides better efficacy of analgesia and sedation with lower incidence of nausea and vomiting than with fentanyl in postoperative patients with thoracotomy.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Comparison of levobupivacaine, ropivacaine and racemic bupivacaine in patient-controlled epidural analgesia after cesarean section].
To compare efficacy and side effects of patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) with levobupivacaine, ropivacaine and racemic bupivacaine after cesarean section. ⋯ PCEA with 0.125% levobupivacaine and morphine 20 microg/ml produces better analgesic effect with little side effects after cesarean section.
