N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification holds an important position in tumorigenesis and metastasis because it can change gene expression and even function in multiple levels including RNA splicing, stability, translocation and translation. In present study, we aim to conducted comprehensive investigation on m6A RNA methylation regulators and m6A-related genes in pancreatic cancer and their association with survival time. ⋯ Our study systematically analyzed the m6A RNA methylation related genes, including expression, protein-protein interaction, potential function, and prognostic value and provides important clues to further research on the function of RNA m6A methylation and its related genes in pancreatic cancer.

This study aimed to investigate whether nerve conduction could be used to objectively evaluate mean effective volume of 1.5% lidocaine after subparaneural or extraparaneural injection. ⋯ The nerve conduction can be used to objectively evaluate the mean effective volume of 1.5% lidocaine in different injection groups, and subparaneural injection has more advantages as compared to extraparaneural injection for continuous popliteal sciatic nerve block.

Early tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic is one of the critical steps to TB control. GeneXpert MTB/RIF has been widely proven for a prompt TB diagnosis. The use of GeneXpert MTB/RIF assay with transbronchial lung cryobiopsy samples may increase diagnostic accuracy. We aim to assess the diagnostic of TB with GeneXpert MTB/RIF assay with transbronchial lung cryobiopsy. ⋯ The GeneXpert MTB/RIF assay with transbronchial lung cryobiopsy test is as efficient as broncho alveolar lavage for TB diagnosis. Transbronchial lung cryobiopsy increases a major diagnostic opportunity when the nature of illness is malignant. Transbronchial lung cryobiopsy is efficient in HIV patients, especially in patients with peripheral localized lesion.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) evokes neurological deficits and induces cardiac dysfunction. Treatment with human umbilical cord blood cells (HUCBCs) represents a potential therapeutic strategy for TBI-induced neurological deficits. The present study aimed to determine whether HUCBCs could ameliorate the cardiac dysfunction and neurological deficits induced by TBI. ⋯ TBI induced both neurological deficits and cardiac dysfunction in mice, which were ameliorated by HUCBC treatment. The anti-inflammatory activities of HUCBCs may contribute to these observed therapeutic effects.

Current guidelines lack recommendations for the use of immunotherapy and immune-related biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We aim to provide reliable evidence of the association of survival with HCC immunotherapy and to demonstrate that genomic mutation signature could be an effective biomarker to predict immunotherapy efficacy of HCC patients. ⋯ Immunotherapy showed longer OS and PFS than conventional therapy among HCC patients, especially patients with a low mutation risk score. The nomogram based on genomic and clinical characteristics is effective in predicting survival of HCC patients undergoing immune checkpoint inhibitor.
