Anorexia nervosa (AN) is thought to appear predominantly in girls and young women. Twenty years ago the incidence of AN was considered as 1 boy to 10-15 girls. Recent data suggest that the girls to boys rate is 4:1. ⋯ Boys and young men reluctantly apply for help to medical professionals trying to hide their symptoms. The diagnosis of AN is established and the treatment is being performed only when they suffer from a marked loss of weight or a severe depression with suicidal thoughts. We report seven male patients with AN and review the differences in a course of this disease between male and female patients.

[Effects of combined spinal-epidural anesthesia in patients undergoing abdominal aorta aneurysms stent-grafting].
We present the anesthetic combined spinal-epidural management of two patients undergoing endovascular abdominal aorta aneurysm stent-graft procedure. Due to many concomitant diseases: high blood pressure, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, diabetes and obesity both patients were of high anesthesia risk. With no need for abdominal surgical opening, anesthetic muscles relaxation and intraoperative ventilatory support, CSEB was a method of choice. Additionally it provided sufficient intraoperative and postoperative analgesia with a possibility of anesthesia prolongation when needed and decreased the overall risk of intraoperative and postoperative cardiac and respiratory complication.

It enables quick, accurate and precise evaluation of bone structures and surrounding soft tissues. CT also enables multiplanar imaging and 3-dimentional imaging.
