Vitamin D (VitD) deficiency has been reported to be associated with respiratory tract infection. In this work we evaluated the concentration of VitD in COVID-19 patients experiencing acute respiratory infections of different levels of severity excluding those who underwent invasive respiratory support. ⋯ Our study shows that a significant proportion of COVID-19 patients have a VitD deficiency and that this condition is more frequent in CPAP and in NIMV patients.

Optimal duration of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of a bifurcation stenosis is still debated. We evaluated the impact of DAPT duration on clinical outcomes in all-comers patients undergoing bifurcation PCI included in the European Bifurcation Club (EBC) registry. ⋯ In the "real-world" EBC registry of patients undergoing PCI of coronary artery bifurcation stenosis, a prolonged DAPT duration was associated with a significantly lower risk of MACCE and a potential increased risk of major bleedings.

Previous studies have shown that PRDX1 is upregulated in some types of malignant tumors. The role of PRDX1 in non-small-cancer lung carcinoma (NSCLC) remains unclear. This study aims to identify the role of PRDX1 in influencing in-vitro biological functions of NSCLC and the molecular mechanism. ⋯ PRDX1 is upregulated in NSCLC samples, and linked to tumor staging and prognosis. It stimulates NSCLC to proliferate by activating the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling.
