To determine the effects of prolonged sevoflurane anesthesia on renal function in liver fibrosis rabbits. ⋯ Prolonged sevoflurane anesthesia has no significant influences on renal function in normal and liver fibrosis rabbits.

[Prognostic value of plasma N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide in patients with severe sepsis and septic shock].
To evaluate the prognostic value of plasma N-Terminal Pro-B-type Natriuretic Peptide (NT-proBNP) in severe sepsis and septic shock. ⋯ Plasma NT-proBNP level shows obvious increase in patients with severe sepsis and septic shock. NT-proBNP on day 3 in ICU is an independent prognostic marker of hospital mortality in severe sepsis and septic shock.

[Prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes mellitus in the first-degree relatives of patients with type 2 diabetes in Chengdu].
To investigate the prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes mellitus in the first-degree relatives (FDR) of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) in Chengdu. ⋯ The FDR of T2DM patients have high risk of diabetes and those younger than 40 years or with <25 kg/m2 BMI also have high risk of prediabetes.

[Extracorporeal cardiac shock wave therapy improved myocardial micro-vascular circulation after acute myocardial infarction at early stage in pigs].
To explore the effect of low-energy extracorporeal shock wave therapy to improve myocardial micro-vascular circulation after acute myocardial infarction at the early stage in pig model. ⋯ Extracorporeal cardiac shock wave therapy could effectively induce angiogenesis, up-regulate the expression of angiogenic factor, resulting in an improvement in micro-vascular circulation reconstruction of ischemic myocardial region.

[Protective effects of emodin on intestinal lesion in rat model with acute necrotizing pancreatitis].
To explore the protective effects and mechanism of Emodin on intestinal lesion in the rats with acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP). ⋯ Emodin could increase intestinal transit, suppress the activity of NF-kappaB in intestine, decrease the content of intestinal TNF-alpha and IL-1beta, and attenuate the pathological damage of intestine.
