[Role of sGC-cGMP pathway in CO-mediated regulation of respiratory rhythm].
To identify the role of soluble guanylyl cyclase-cyclic guanine monophosphate (sGC-cGMP) pathway in the carbon monoxide (CO) mediating regulation of respiratory rhythm from the medulla oblongata. ⋯ sGC-cGMP pathway may play an important role in the CO mediated regulation of respiratory rhythm from the medulla oblongata.

[The predictive value of the Tokuhashi revised scoring system for the survival time of patients with spinal metastases].
To evaluate the predictive value of the Tokuhashi revised scoring system for the life expectancy of patients with spinal metastases. ⋯ The Tokuhashi revised score could support decision making with reliable estimation of life expectancy of patients with spinal metastases. Surgery could be a better choice to extend life span for those patients with solitary spinal metastasis of slow-growth primary tumor and those with the Tokuhashi revised score of 12 to 15 points.

[Changes in number of EGF positive neurons in ventral horn and contralateral cortex motor area of rhesus after hemisection spinal cord injury].
To observe the changes in the amount of epidermal growth factor (EGF) immunopositive neurons in ventral horn and contralateral cortex motor area of rhesus following hemisection spinal cord injury (hSCI). ⋯ The EGF immunopositive neurons decreased apparently in the ventral horn of spinal cord near the lesion and in the contralateral cortex motor area in 3 months after hSCI. Hemisection spinal cord injury affected the expression of EGF for motor neurons in ventral horn on the lesioned side as well as on the intact side. Early after hSCI the number of positive neurons decreased sharply and then came back spontaneously in the ventral horn of spinal cord near the lesion and in the contralateral cortex of brain.

[Hyperbaric oxygen improves long-term learning-memory deficits and brain injury in neonatal rat with hypoxia-ischemia brain damage].
To investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) on long-term learning-memory disabilities and brain injury induced by hypoxia-ischemia in neonatal rat. ⋯ Single HBO (2.5 ATA, 1.5 h) can significantly improve long-term learning-memory deficits and attenuate brain injury in rats with hypoxia-ischemia brain damage.

[Effect of captopril on pulmonary vascular remodeling induced by left-to-right shunt in rats].
To investigate the therapeutic effect of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor on pulmonary vascular remodeling of pulmonary hypertension induced by high pulmonary blood flow. ⋯ Captopril slows down pulmonary hypertension and remodeling development. Captopril and losartan may have preventive and therapeutic effects on pulmonary hypertension induced by congenital left-to-right shunts.
