To evaluate clinical characteristics, effectiveness, and tolerability of preventive anti- calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) in the elderly. Anti-CGRP mAbs have demonstrated efficacy and safety in patients with migraine although there is limited information regarding the elderly. ⋯ Our study provides real world evidence of effectiveness and safety of anti-CGRP mAbs for migraine in patients without upper age-limit and possible predictors of anti-CGRP response in the elderly.

An artificial intelligence-powered, patient-centric digital tool for self-management of chronic pain: A prospective, multicenter clinical trial.
To investigate how a behavioral health, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered, digital self-management tool affects the daily functions in adults with chronic back and neck pain. ⋯ Chronic pain self-management, using an AI-powered, digital coach anchored in behavioral health principles significantly improved subjects' pain interference, physical function, depression, anxiety, and pain catastrophizing over the 12-week study period.

Prediction of Subsequent Vertebral Compression fractures after Thoracolumbar Kyphoplasty: A Multicenter Retrospective Analysis.
Second fractures at the cemented vertebrae (SFCV) are often seen after percutaneous kyphoplasty, especially at the thoracolumbar junction. Our study aimed to develop and validate a preoperative clinical prediction model for predicting SFCV. ⋯ The SFCV score was found to be a simple preoperative method for identification of patients at low and high risk of postoperative SFCV. This model could be applied to individual patients and aid in the decision-making before percutaneous kyphoplasty.

Assessing validity of the original and Rasch versions of the central sensitization inventory with psychophysical tests in people with knee osteoarthritis.
To determine the extent of agreement between the original Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI) and the Rasch-calibrated version (RC-CSI) and to explore the association of both versions with psychophysical tests and their respective sensitivity and specificity. ⋯ Because of poor variance explained with psychophysical tests and high false positive rates, our results indicate that there is little clinical value of using either version of the CSI in people with knee osteoarthritis.

Comparison of polynucleotide, sodium hyaluronate, and crosslinked sodium hyaluronate for the management of painful knee osteoarthritis: a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group study.
To compare the clinical effectiveness of sodium polynucleotide, classic hyaluronic acid, and crosslinked hyaluronic acid for the management of painful knee osteoarthritis. ⋯ Polynucleotide significantly relieves pain more and relieves pain faster in patients with knee osteoarthritis than classic and crosslinked hyaluronic acid, with improved health-related quality of life.
