Review Meta AnalysisComplementary and alternative medicine for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis: an overview of systematic reviews.
This review critically evaluates the literature on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) as treatment options for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. ⋯ Five systematic reviews met our inclusion criteria. They all arrived at cautious conclusions. Four reviews were of high quality and one was burdened with high risk of bias. The evidence to support the effectiveness of CAM as a treatment option for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis is ambiguous.

About half of cancer patients experience pain, most commonly due to their primary cancer. Pain severity is at least moderate for most patients experiencing cancer-related pain. ⋯ Cancer-related pain adds to mood disturbance and disability in cancer patients. Despite the frequent occurrence and substantial impact from cancer pain, both patient and provider barriers limit the identification and treatment of pain in cancer patients.

Review Meta AnalysisControlled trials in pediatric migraine: crossover versus parallel group.
Studies on the treatment of migraine in children and adolescents are rare and difficult to design. In particular, the high placebo response makes it difficult to show efficacy of a verum drug. When analyzing all published trials in the acute drug treatment of migraine in children, crossover trials show lower placebo rates and higher therapeutic gain, compared with parallel group trials. This should be considered in the future design of acute drug trials in childhood migraine.
