The increasing incidence of pediatric hospitalizations associated with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) caused by the B.1.617.2 (delta) variant of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in the United States has offered an opportunity to assess the real-world effectiveness of the BNT162b2 messenger RNA vaccine in adolescents between 12 and 18 years of age. ⋯ Among hospitalized adolescent patients, two doses of the BNT162b2 vaccine were highly effective against Covid-19-related hospitalization and ICU admission or the receipt of life support. Remdesivir for the treatment of patients in hospital with COVID-19 in Canada: a randomized controlled trial.
The role of remdesivir in the treatment of patients in hospital with COVID-19 remains ill defined in a global context. The World Health Organization Solidarity randomized controlled trial (RCT) evaluated remdesivir in patients across many countries, with Canada enrolling patients using an expanded data collection format in the Canadian Treatments for COVID-19 (CATCO) trial. We report on the Canadian findings, with additional demographics, characteristics and clinical outcomes, to explore the potential for differential effects across different health care systems. ⋯ Remdesivir, when compared with standard of care, has a modest but significant effect on outcomes important to patients and health systems, such as the need for mechanical ventilation. Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov, no. NCT04330690.

Clinical Outcomes Among Patients With 1-Year Survival Following Intensive Care Unit Treatment for COVID-19.
One-year outcomes in patients who have had COVID-19 and who received treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) are unknown. ⋯ In this exploratory study of patients in 11 Dutch hospitals who survived 1 year following ICU treatment for COVID-19, physical, mental, or cognitive symptoms were frequently reported.

Hyperimmune immunoglobulin for hospitalised patients with COVID-19 (ITAC): a double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3, randomised trial.
Passive immunotherapy using hyperimmune intravenous immunoglobulin (hIVIG) to SARS-CoV-2, derived from recovered donors, is a potential rapidly available, specific therapy for an outbreak infection such as SARS-CoV-2. Findings from randomised clinical trials of hIVIG for the treatment of COVID-19 are limited. ⋯ US National Institutes of Health.

The efficacy and safety of triptorelin-therapy following conservative surgery for deep infiltrating endometriosis: A multicenter, prospective, non-interventional study in China.
Triptorelin is one of the most commonly used gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists and has been used in the treatment of deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE). This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of up to 24 weeks of triptorelin treatment after conservative surgery for DIE. This prospective, non-interventional study was performed in 18 tertiary hospitals in China. ⋯ Triptorelin after conservative surgery for DIE improved symptoms over 24 months of follow up. The recurrence rate of symptoms was low and triptorelin was generally well tolerated. Trial registration number: ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01942369.
