The aim of the study was to evaluate whether physical exercise (PE) in addition to extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is more effective in improving erectile function as compared to ESWT and PE alone in diabetic patients with erectile dysfunction (ED). ⋯ The combined approach of ESWT and PE provides significant advantages in erectile dysfunction improvement and durability as compared to ESWT or PE alone in diabetic patients with ED.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a male disease, which is easy to cause disharmony in sexual life. However, at present, there are few drugs with small side effects in clinic. Jin Gui Shen Qi Pill (JGSQP) is a traditional Chinese medicine compound with obvious clinical effect in treating ED. ⋯ Molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations showed that the main components acting on PDE-5 were MOL000546, MOL011169, MOL000279, MOL000273 and Sildenafil. MOL000546 was able to bind stably to PDE-5. The multi-component, multi-target, and multi-pathway action characteristics of JGSQP were confirmed by network pharmacology, which predicted the possible mechanism of action of JGSQP in the treatment of ED and provided a theoretical reference for further experimental validation.

Clinical TrialErectile dysfunction in patients with major burn injury: The significance of follow-up.
There were few prospective studies investigating the relationship between the burn injury and erectile dysfunction (ED). The aim of this study was to prospectively explore the alteration in erectile functions regarding major burn. ⋯ The current trial demonstrated that IIEF-5 scores of patients with major burn can show significant impairment in long term, and it seems a time-dependent process. This is the first prospective trial showing that IIEF can be utilized to monitor erectile function of burn patients in a longer follow-up program.

Clinical study of comprehensive TCM therapy in the treatment of damp and hot stasis erectile dysfunction.
The dilemma of male sexual dysfunction has been the focus of the whole society. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the common sexual dysfunctions, and traditional Chinese medicine therapy has shown potential benefits in the treatment of ED. Comprehensive therapy of traditional Chinese medicine (CTTCM) is a comprehensive application of Chinese medicine therapy for auxiliary intervention. Through preliminary clinical observations, we found that CTTCM is simple, safe, and has good efficacy; however, there is a lack of rigorous clinical trials to support its application. Therefore, we designed a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CTTCM for patients with ED of damp-heat stasis type, and to provide evidence for the clinical application of CTTCM and the construction of a traditional Chinese medicine andrology rehabilitation system. ⋯ This study will provide preliminary evidence for the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine integrated therapy in the treatment of damp-heat stasis ED. In addition, it also provides a basis for the clinical application of Chinese medicine comprehensive therapy and the construction of Chinese medicine andrology rehabilitation system.
