High- vs Low-Dose Corticosteroid Injection in the Treatment of Adhesive Capsulitis with Severe Pain: A Randomized Controlled Double-Blind Study.
To compare the degree of pain relief between high-dose (40 mg of triamcinolone acetonide) and low-dose (20 mg of triamcinolone acetonide) corticosteroid injections in patients with severe pain due to adhesive capsulitis. ⋯ Injection of 20 mg of triamcinolone acetonide is sufficient to elicit symptom relief in patients with severe adhesive capsulitis; hence, 20 mg of triamcinolone acetonide can be recommended in patients with adhesive capsulitis with severe pain.

Pain control with continuous infusion preperitoneal wound catheters versus continuous epidural analgesia in colon and rectal surgery: A randomized controlled trial.
To compare continuous infusion preperitoneal wound catheters (CPA) versus continuous epidural analgesia (CEA) after elective colorectal surgery. ⋯ Continuous epidural analgesia provided superior pain control following colorectal surgery in the PACU and on the day of surgery. Randomized Controlled TrialEffects of Intradermal Sterile Water Injections in Women with Low Back Pain in Labor: A Randomized, Controlled, Clinical Trial.
In addition to the pain caused byuterine contractions during labour, continuous and severe back pain is observed in 33% of women. Several pharmacological and nonpharmacological methods are available for managing this pain. Sterile water injection is considered as alternative method for nonpharmacological pain management. ⋯ The application of sterile water injection is effective for relieving back pain in the first stage of labour and has a sufficient satisfaction level among women.
