Diagnostic value of ultrasound elastography in triple negative breast cancer: A meta-analysis.
The purpose of this study was to determine the value of ultrasound elastic imaging (UE) in the differential diagnosis of the 3 negative breast cancer (TNBC) and non-TNBC. ⋯ Our meta-analysis showed that UE could have high diagnostic accuracy in distinguishing TNBC and non-TNBC.

Diagnostic accuracy of shear wave elastography for endometrial cancer: A meta-analysis.
This meta-analysis aimed to identify the accuracy of shear wave elastography (SWE) in the diagnosis of endometrial cancer (EC). ⋯ Our meta-analysis indicates that SWE may have high diagnostic accuracy in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant endometrial lesions. Thus, SWE may be a useful tool for the diagnosis of EC.

As a new surgical procedure for non-small cell lung cancer, single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has lately gained popularity; nevertheless, it is unknown if single-port VATS offers any advantages over multi-portal. The study aims to assess the different impacts of using single-port VATS versus 2-port or multi-port VATS such as operation and drainage time, blood loss volume, number of resected lymph nodes, and hospital stay in lung cancer patients. ⋯ Single or Uni-portal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery has high efficacy and lower side effects compared with multi-port regarding the perioperative outcomes. Two-port VATS has similar results with uni-port in several parameters.

Association of several loci of SMAD7 with colorectal cancer: A meta-analysis based on case-control studies.
Sma-and mad-related protein 7 (SMAD7) can affect tumor progression by closing transforming growth factor-beta intracellular signaling channels. Despite the extensive research on the correlation between SMAD7 polymorphisms and colorectal cancer (CRC), the conclusions of studies are still contradictory. We conducted a study focusing on the association of SMAD7 polymorphisms rs4939827, rs4464148, and rs12953717 with CRC. ⋯ Rs4939827 (T > C) can decrease the susceptibility to CRC. However, the rs4464148 (T > C) and rs12953717 (C > T) variants were connected with an enhanced risk of CRC.

Association of vitamin D receptor polymorphisms with colorectal cancer susceptibility: A systematic meta-analysis.
Recent studies have reported an association between vitamin D receptor (VDR) polymorphisms and colorectal cancer (CRC) risk; however, the results are controversial. This meta-analysis was performed to investigate whether the Cdx-2, Tru9I, FokI, BsmI, TaqI, and ApaI polymorphisms were correlated with CRC susceptibility. ⋯ Our findings indicate that VDR polymorphisms are significantly associated with CRC risk.
