Meta AnalysisEfficacy of medicinal cannabis for appetite-related symptoms in people with cancer: A systematic review.
Anorexia (loss of appetite) is a prevalent and distressing symptom in people with cancer, with limited effective interventions. Medicinal cannabis has shown promise in improving appetite-related symptoms in people with cancer. ⋯ Evidence from RCTs that medicinal cannabis increases appetite in people with cancer is limited. Measures, outcomes and interventions were variable, and toxicities have not been comprehensively evaluated. Future research should carefully consider biological mechanisms to guide more nuanced selection of endpoints and interventions, including product, dose and administration.

Meta AnalysisNeoadjuvant Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. A meta-analysis was conducted to assess the benefits and risks of neoadjuvant immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Online databases, including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and clinicaltrials.gov, were retrospectively and systematically searched for eligible trials from database inception to May 2021. ⋯ In terms of safety, the pooled rate of any-grade and grade 3-5 treatment-related adverse effects (TRAEs) were 57% (95% CI 38-76%) and 15% (95% CI 6-28%). Eventually, the study concludes that neoadjuvant ICIs are effective and safe for patients with early-stage NSCLC. Key Words: Neoadjuvant therapy, Immune checkpoint inhibitors, Non-small cell lung cancer, Meta-analysis.

Meta AnalysisAssociation between hair dye use and cancer in women: a systematic review and meta-analysis of case-control studies.
The use of hair dye for cosmetic purposes appears to be increasing worldwide. As 50-80% of women use hair dye throughout their lifetimes, the possible association between hair dye use and cancer is a public health concern. ⋯ The present study suggests that, although the use of hair dye may increase the risk of cancer among users, a more detailed evaluation is required to assess the type of hair dye use in terms of guidelines and metrics.

Clinical impact of pretreatment albumin-globulin ratio in patients with colorectal cancer: A meta-analysis.
Accumulating evidence have revealed that pretreatment albumin to globulin ratio (AGR) may be a predictor of prognosis among patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). However, these findings are inconsistent. The aim of the present study was to investigate the prognostic value of pretreatment AGR in CRC. ⋯ The present meta-analysis suggests that low pretreatment AGR was associated with advanced clinicopathological features and worse prognosis, suggesting AGR is a useful prognostic biomarker for CRC patients.

Clinical role of miR-421 as a novel biomarker in diagnosis of gastric cancer patients: A meta-analysis.
Gastric cancer (GC) has been identified as one of the most common malignancies. It was found that microRNAs can be used as potential biomarkers for GC diagnosis. The aim of this study was to estimate the diagnostic value of 4 potential microRNAs in GC. ⋯ miR-21, miR-106, miR-421, and miR-223 have good diagnostic efficacy, especially miR-421, could be used as auxiliary diagnostic indicator for GC.
