FANCI may serve as a prognostic biomarker for cervical cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
DNA damage is a fundamental process that plays a considerable role in generating protein diversity. FANCI, loaded on the altered chromatin, plays a vital role in DNA damage. Abnormal FANCI expression is potentially associated with carcinogenesis.However, the biological role of FANCI in cervical cancer is yet to be determined. ⋯ These findings suggested that FANCI is correlated with prognosis of and immune infiltration in cervical cancer, laying a foundation for further study of the immune regulatory role of FANCI in cervical cancer.

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (G-CSFs) include long-acting ones and short-acting ones. They have been mainly applied in Chinese clinical practice for years to prevent neutropenia. However, which type of G-CSF is more superior has not been conclusively determined. ⋯ Primary prophylaxis with long-acting G-CSFs was more effective and safer than primary prophylaxis with short-acting G-CSFs in Chinese adults undergoing chemotherapy.

Patients diagnosed with localized rectal cancer should undergo Neoadjuvant Radio-Chemotherapy (NACRT) followed, a few weeks later, by surgical resection. NACRT is known to cause significant decline in the physical and psychological health of patients. This literature review aims to summarize the effects of a prehabilitation programme during and/or after NACRT but before surgery. ⋯ Prehabilitation programmes during NACRT for localized rectal cancer patients are safe and feasible; however, due to considerable variation in the prehabilitation programmes and their small size, impact on fitness, quality of life, and surgical outcome are unknown. Larger randomized studies are needed.

ArfGAP with GTPase domain, Ankyrin repeat and PH domain 2 Antisense 1 (AGAP2-AS1) is a promising long noncoding RNA that may possess prognostic value for different types of tumors. The objective of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the prognostic value of long noncoding RNA AGAP2-AS1 in cancer patients. ⋯ Our results indicated that AGAP2-AS1 overexpression was closely correlated with shorter OS in multiple cancer types, suggesting that AGAP2-AS1 might function as a promising predictor for clinical outcomes in cancer.

Objective to systematically evaluate the diagnostic value of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in gastric cancer (GC) in the Chinese population. ⋯ Exosome-derived lncRNA may be a new potential biomarker for the clinical diagnosis of GC.
