Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Vimseltinib versus placebo for tenosynovial giant cell tumour (MOTION): a multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial.
Tenosynovial giant cell tumour (TGCT) is a locally aggressive neoplasm for which few systemic treatment options exist. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of vimseltinib, an oral, switch-control, CSF1R inhibitor, in patients with symptomatic TGCT not amenable to surgery. ⋯ Deciphera Pharmaceuticals.

Krill Oil for Knee Osteoarthritis: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
Knee osteoarthritis is disabling, with few effective treatments. Preliminary evidence suggested that krill oil supplementation improved knee pain, but effects on knee osteoarthritis remain unclear. ⋯ Among people with knee osteoarthritis who have significant knee pain and effusion-synovitis on magnetic resonance imaging, 2 g/d of daily krill oil supplementation did not improve knee pain over 24 weeks compared with placebo. These findings do not support krill oil for treating knee pain in this population.

An Online Decision Aid for Patients With Metastatic Melanoma—Results of the Randomized Controlled Trial "PEF-Immun".
Treatment decisions in metastatic melanoma (MM) are highly dependent on patient preferences and require the patients' involvement. The complexity of treatment options with their individual advantages and disadvantages is often overwhelming. We therefore developed an online patient decision aid (PtDA) to facilitate shared decision making (SDM). ⋯ The PtDA improved the knowledge of patients with MM about the options for treatment. Both groups were highly satisfied with their treatment decisions. However, additional physician training seems necessary to promote SDM.

Early Diagnosis and Treatment of COPD and Asthma - A Randomized, Controlled Trial.
Many persons with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma have not received a diagnosis, so their respiratory symptoms remain largely untreated. ⋯ In this trial in which a strategy was used to identify adults in the community with undiagnosed asthma or COPD, those who received pulmonologist-directed treatment had less subsequent health care utilization for respiratory illness than those who received usual care. (Funded by Canadian Institutes of Health Research; UCAP ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT03148210.).

[Results of a randomized double-blind multicenter clinical trial of the efficacy and safety of riamilovir in the treatment of COVID-19].
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of riamilovir in the treatment of COVID-19 in adults. ⋯ As a result of a multicenter randomized double-blind clinical trial, the effectiveness of the drug riamilovir for therapeutic use in patients with COVID-19 according to the 1250 mg/day scheme (250 mg capsules 5 times per day) for 10 days was established. The drug riamilovir in a daily dose of 1250 mg for 10 days does not differ in safety from placebo.
