This analysis aimed to assess the effect of decitabine combined with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in treating recurrent and refractory acute myeloid leukemia. ⋯ Decitabine combined with allo-HSCT can obtain lower recurrence risk and longer disease-free survival time, and improve the prognosis of patients. The safety is relatively stable. Due to the varying quality level of the included studies, the validation of multiple high-quality studies still needs improvement.

Epilepsy is a chronic encephalopathy caused by abnormal discharge of neurons in the brain, resulting in brain dysfunction. Cognitive impairment is one of the most common complications of epilepsy. The current treatment of epilepsy in the control of symptoms at the same time cause a lot of side effects, especially the aggravation of cognitive impairment. Many literatures have stated that the efficacy and safety of integrated Traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of epilepsy with cognitive impairment is superior to that of western medicine alone. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we intend to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of removing stasis and resolving phlegm in the treatment of epilepsy with cognitive impairment. ⋯ Compared with the treatment of epilepsy with cognitive impairment by western anti-epileptic drugs alone, the treatment of epilepsy with cognitive impairment combined with the method of removing blood stasis and resolving phlegm is superior to the treatment of epilepsy with cognitive impairment by western anti-epileptic drugs alone.

To evaluate the reductions of C-reactive protein (CRP) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in different lipid-lowering drugs, and to assess the relationships between the reductions of CRP, LDL-C, and cardiovascular (CV) events. ⋯ Based on the current study, our results suggested that statins, ezetimibe, and PCSK9-mAbs are effective in reducing LDL-C levels. Treatment with statins and ezetimibe also demonstrated a significant effect on CRP. The traditional lipid-lowering strategy including statin and ezetimibe showed similar benefit on CV outcomes compared with the PCSK9-mAbs treatment.

To perform a systematic review and network meta-analysis to compare the survival benefit and safety profile of current available second-line treatment options of metastatic renal cell carcinomav. ⋯ Among all included therapies, Lenvatinib plus everolimus was identified as the most effective treatment approach, with the best PFS, OS, and ORR. nivolumab was associated with decreased incidence of grade 3 to 4 AEs among included treatment therapies. When comprehensively evaluated the efficacy and safety of included treatment options, lenvatinib plus everolimus, cabozantinb, and nivolumab were associated with better survival benefits and lower risk of AEs. Future studies should focus on the direct comparison of different second-line treatment in real-world populations.

Hypoalbuminemia is associated with fluid overload, the development of acute respiratory distress syndrome, and mortality. The co-administration of albumin and diuretics for the treatment of patients with hypoalbuminemia is expected to increase urine output, without hemodynamic instability, and improve pulmonary function; however, these effects have not been systematically investigated. Here, we aimed to clarify the benefits of the co-administration of albumin and diuretics in mechanically ventilated patients. ⋯ Although this treatment combination reduced the number of days for which mechanical ventilation was required, it did not reduce the all-cause mortality at 30 days. In conclusion, the co-administration of albumin and diuretics may reduce hypotensive events and improve the P/F ratio at 24 hours.
