Infant bronchiolitis has a high death rate in severe cases. In China, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is commonly used to treat infant bronchiolitis. However, it has not received enough international attention. ⋯ Integrated TCM and Western medicine is superior to Western medicine alone for treating bronchiolitis in terms of clinical efficacy, hospitalization time, and recurrence rate, with no increase in the adverse reaction rate. TCM is useful as an alternative therapy for viral bronchiolitis. Although further studies are needed to establish specific protocols for the use of TCM in clinical practice, these results may strengthen guideline recommendations regarding the use of TCM.

Meditation-based intervention for obsessive-compulsive disorder: A PRISMA-compliant systematic review and meta-analysis.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the meditation-based intervention on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). ⋯ This study was conducted to verify the effects of meditation-based intervention on OCD. The results suggested that combined treatment with medication and meditation-based intervention was more effective in treating OCD than medication alone; the positive effects of meditation-based intervention may be greater than the effects of other non-medication interventions. However, the lack of significant difference in the follow-up indicates that long-term effect of meditation-based interventions is unclear.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors. Surgical resection is often only possible in the early stages of HCC and among those with limited cirrhosis. Radiofrequency ablation and Microwave ablation are 2 main types of percutaneous thermal ablation for the treatment of HCC. The efficacy and safety between these 2 therapy methods are still under a debate. ⋯ Microwave ablation has higher complete ablation and lower local tumor progression than Radiofrequency ablation in the ablation treatment of HCC nodules. There was no significant difference in overall survival between the 2 therapy methods.

An updated systematic review and meta-analysis of fecal microbiota transplantation for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.
Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) as a promising therapy for ulcerative colitis (UC) remains controversial. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficiency and safety of FMT as a treatment for UC. ⋯ FMT can achieve clinical remission and clinical response in patients with UC.

Blade needle therapy versus conventional acupuncture for knee osteoarthritis: A meta-analysis.
This study investigated the hypothesis that the efficacy of blade needle therapy for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is superior to that of conventional acupuncture. In addition, the efficacy of blade needle therapy versus conventional acupuncture for the treatment of KOA was analyzed in a meta-analysis. ⋯ The efficacy of blade needle treatment for KOA is superior to that of conventional acupuncture, but more high-quality studies are needed for future validation due to the low proportion of high-quality studies included and the possible bias factor.
