Multicenter Study Clinical Trial
An open label, multicenter clinical trial that investigated the efficacy and safety of leuprorelin treatment of central precocious puberty in Chinese children.
Leuprorelin is an analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone that is used for the therapy of central precocious puberty (CPP). The aims of this prospective, open label, multicenter clinical trial were to establish its efficacy and safety during long-term use. ⋯ The trial revealed that CPP was effectively treated in most patients who received leuprorelin for nearly 2 years. Any drug-related AEs were reported with low incidence (<5%) and were consistent with the known safety profile of leuprorelin.

The efficacy and safety of different bismuth agents in Helicobacter pylori first-line eradication: A multicenter, randomized, controlled clinical trial.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of bismuth pectin capsules and bismuth pectin granules in the first-line quadruple treatment of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). ⋯ Bismuth pectin capsules and bismuth pectin granules had similar efficacy and safety for H. pylori eradication compared to bismuth potassium citrate. These data suggest that bismuth pectin can be an alternative to bismuth potassium citrate to eradicate H. pylori when using bismuth-containing quadruple therapy.

Evaluation of efficacy and safety of pirfenidone 200 mg tablets in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in a real-life setting.
Phase III trials have demonstrated a significant efficacy and an acceptable safety for pirfenidone in patients having mild to moderate idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Real-life data on the use of pirfenidone 200 mg tablets are limited. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of pirfenidone 200 mg tablets for the treatment of IPF in a real-life setting. ⋯ Pirfenidone 200 mg was effective and well tolerated and associated with relatively mild and manageable AEs in IPF patien

Dupilumab in Children with Uncontrolled Moderate-to-Severe Asthma.
Children with moderate-to-severe asthma continue to have disease complications despite the receipt of standard-of-care therapy. The monoclonal antibody dupilumab has been approved for the treatment of adults and adolescents with asthma as well as with other type 2 inflammatory diseases. ⋯ Among children with uncontrolled moderate-to-severe asthma, those who received add-on dupilumab had fewer asthma exacerbations and better lung function and asthma control than those who received placebo. (Funded by Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals; Liberty Asthma VOYAGE ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT02948959.).

Phase 3 Trials of Tapinarof Cream for Plaque Psoriasis.
Tapinarof cream is a topical aryl hydrocarbon receptor-modulating agent under investigation for the treatment of psoriasis. Tapinarof modulates the expression of interleukin-17 and the skin-barrier proteins filaggrin and loricrin. ⋯ Tapinarof 1% cream once daily was superior to vehicle control in reducing the severity of plaque psoriasis over a period of 12 weeks but was associated with local adverse events and headache. Larger and longer trials are needed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tapinarof cream as compared with existing treatments for psoriasis. (Funded by Dermavant Sciences; PSOARING 1 and 2 ClinicalTrials.gov numbers, NCT03956355 and NCT03983980, respectively.).
