Meta Analysis
Obstetric, maternal, and neonatal outcomes after Pilates exercise during pregnancy: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
One of the major exercises to improve the psychological and physical functions of pregnant women is Pilate's exercises. The aim of this study is to collect evidence about Pilates exercise effects on many consequences in pregnant women, such as maternal and neonatal outcomes and obstetric outcomes. ⋯ Pilates exercise improved the outcomes of pregnant women. It decreases the rate of Cesarean delivery and the time of delivery. Moreover, Pilates has a role in decreasing weight gain in pregnant women. As a result, that may improve the pregnancy experience for women. However, more RCTs needed with larger sample sizes to assess the Pilates effect on neonatal outcomes.

The occurrence and development of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are closely related to the immune status of the tumor-host. The immunosuppression caused by tumor cells and toxic side effects produced by chemotherapeutic drugs results in a decrease in immune function, ultimately leading to the failure of clinical chemotherapy treatment. Ginsenoside Rg3 has been clinically reported to have positive effects in enhancing immune function in patients. Thus, we screened and evaluated the quality of the evidence regarding the benefits of ginsenoside Rg3 and conducted a meta-analysis to assess the impact on improving immune function in NSCLC. ⋯ This study confirmed that ginsenoside Rg3 has some efficacy advantages for improving immune function in patients with NSCLC.

Current guidelines for ischaemic stroke treatment recommend a strict, but arbitrary, upper threshold of 185/110 mm Hg for blood pressure before endovascular thrombectomy. Nevertheless, whether admission blood pressure influences the effect of endovascular thrombectomy on outcome remains unknown. Our aim was to study the influence of admission systolic blood pressure (SBP) on functional outcome and on the effect of endovascular thrombectomy. ⋯ Medtronic.

This review aimed to verify the clinical effects of traditional Chinese medicine in collaboration with conservative conventional medicine for lumbar herniated intervertebral discs (LHIVD). ⋯ Traditional Chinese medicine in collaboration with conservative conventional medicine can be used to relieve pain and facilitate better function of the lumbar spine in lumbar herniated intervertebral disc cases. However, this conclusion should be applied with caution in clinical practice owing to the low quality of the included studies.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) has a high clinical prevalence and frequently interferes with patients normal lives. In KOA patients, evidence suggests that intra-articular (IA) injection improves joint function and decreases discomfort. Several IA injection treatments are used in daily practice to improve symptomatic control of knee osteoarthritis, but their efficacy is frequently disputed. ⋯ In patients with mild to moderate KOA, IA injection PRP outperformed IA injection ozone, HA, CS, platelet-rich plasma-derived growth factor, and hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich plasma in terms of pain, stiffness, and dysfunction.
