One-time relieving of frozen shoulder motor dysfunction with pure acupotomy: A case report.
Frozen shoulder (FS) is characterized by shoulder pain and restricted movement of the shoulder joint. While it tends to resolve on its own, it significantly affects an individual quality of daily life. The pure acupotomy technique employs needle-knife manipulation as the sole treatment, without the use of medications, such as steroids or vitamins, and local anesthesia if necessary. It aims to restore soft tissue mechanical balance and circulation through techniques such as cutting and stripping, creating a "gap effect." This technique can rapidly, safely, and effectively relieve functional impairments in patients with FS. This article presents a case study of the successful treatment of FS using a purely needle-knife technique. ⋯ We believe that utilizing a purely acupotomy treatment for passive functional impairments in FS not only yields good results but also saves patients time and reduces their financial burden. This is worth promoting extensively in clinical practice.

To investigate the mechanism of action of Cao Wu in the treatment of migraine from the perspective of network pharmacology. The Swiss Target Prediction Database and CTD database were used to predict the target information of Cao Wu. Human Genome Database gene cards were used to find migraine-related target genes. ⋯ The protein interaction network of the overlapping targets was analyzed to identify the key targets for the drug to affect the disease. In addition, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway and go function enrichment analyses were performed on the overlapping targets to explore the therapeutic mechanism of migraine. The treatment of migraine with herbal woo is characterized by multi-component, multi-target, and multi-channel, which exerts complex network regulation through the interaction between different targets, providing a new idea and basis for further exploring the mechanism of action of herbal woo in the treatment of migraine.

Posterior wall comminuted fractures of the acetabulum are typically caused by high-energy trauma, and the complex anatomical structure of the acetabulum makes their treatment challenging. However, reports of the treatment of fresh acetabular fractures combined with femoral head necrosis are extremely rare. ⋯ The application of 3D printing technology in acetabular internal fixation and total hip arthroplasty is helpful for fracture assessment, facilitates smooth surgery, promotes fracture reduction and healing, restores hip joint function, and ensures a high level of safety.

Association between Social Isolation and the Risk of Incident Functional Disability in Elderly Survivors after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Social isolation is frequently observed among survivors of disaster. However, there is limited evidence regarding the association between social isolation and adverse health outcomes among survivors of disaster. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between social isolation and the risk of incident functional disability (IFD) among survivors of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake (GEJE). ⋯ In addition, this association tended to be more remarkable among men and those whose houses were completely/seriously damaged. The present results suggest us that it would be possible to identify those who are more likely to be affected by social isolation after disaster. This finding would be useful in screening and supporting high risk group right after the occurrence of disaster.

Permanent single chamber atrial pacing: obsolete or a viable alternative to dual-chamber in selected patients with sinus node disease?
Single atrial stimulation (AAI) has been commonly used for permanent pacing in sick sinus syndrome and significant bradycardia. ⋯ The reliability of AAI pacing decreases with each year of observation due to development of AF and AVB. However, in the current era of effective AF treatment, the advantages of AAI pacemakers, such as lower incidence of lead malfunction, venous occlusion, and infection, as compared with dual-chamber pacemakers, may make AAI pacemakers a viable option.
