Wrist pain on the ulnar side is often caused by ulnar impaction syndrome (UIS). Idiopathic UIS requires surgical treatment when conservative treatment fails. The 2 main surgical procedures used are the wafer procedure and ulnar shortening osteotomy (USO) of the metaphysis or diaphysis. This review aimed to analyze comparative studies of the 2 procedures in UIS to determine clinical outcomes and complications. ⋯ There was no difference in pain improvement or the postoperative functional score between the groups. Nevertheless, postoperative complications were the major pitfalls of USO. As the specialized shortening system advances further, a high-level study will be necessary to determine the surgical option in UIS.

The purpose of this study was to compare the functional outcomes and re-dislocation rates of medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction, MPFL repair, combined proximal realignment (CPR), and conservative management for primary patellar dislocation by conducting a systematic literature search of the available studies. The hypothesis was that MPFL repair and MPFL reconstruction would be better options for treating primary patellar dislocation. ⋯ Using a network meta-analysis, this meta-analysis showed that there was no significant difference in functional outcomes in a subgroup analysis. In re-dislocation subgroup analysis, MPFL repair and MPFL reconstruction produced significantly better results than other treatments. Also, surface under the cumulative ranking curve percentage showed that MPFL reconstruction had a lower probability of re-dislocation than MPFL repair.

Currently, theoretical studies on exosomes in respiratory diseases have received much attention from many scholars and have made remarkable progress, which has inestimable value and potential in future clinical and scientific research. Unfortunately, no scholar has yet addressed this field's bibliometric analysis and summary. We aim to comprehensively and profoundly study and explore the present situation and highlights of exosome research at the stage of respiratory diseases and to provide meaningful insights for the future development of this field. ⋯ The present research situation and relevant hotspots of the area were analyzed through bibliometric studies on exosomes in respiratory diseases. The research development in this field has a considerable upside, and the exosome's function in diagnosing, treating, monitoring, and prognosis of respiratory illnesses cannot be taken lightly. Moreover, we believe the research results will bring the gospel to many patients with clinical respiratory diseases shortly.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the most common functional gastrointestinal disorder, characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. Huoxiang Drink (HD), derived from traditional Chinese medicine, has been reported to effectively treat digestive disorders caused by external cold and internal dampness. However, the pharmaceutical targets and mechanisms for HD against IBS remain unclear. ⋯ Molecular docking results confirmed that MOL000098 (Quercetin), MOL000006 (Luteolin), MOL005828 (Nobiletin), MOL005916 (Irisolidone), and MOL004328 (Naringenin), as key active ingredients in HD, bound to core targets (tumor protein P53, tumor necrosis factor, matrix metalloproteinases 9, and vascular endothelial growth factor-A) for topical treatment of IBS. This study suggested that HD offered a potential therapeutic strategy against IBS. Our findings may facilitate the efficient screening of active ingredients in HD and provide a theoretical basis for further validating the clinical therapeutic effects of HD on treating IBS.
