Sarcopenia is an age-related degenerative disease associated with adverse outcomes such as falls, functional decline, weakness, and mortality. Exploring the dynamic evolutionary path and patterns of sarcopenia research topics within a temporal framework from the perspective of strategic coordinate maps and data flow can help identify the development rules of sarcopenia themes. After searching, a total of 16,326 articles were obtained. ⋯ The differentiation and fusion of the theme evolution path are obvious, and the theme inheritance index is high. The development trend of this research field is promising. The mature and stable professional topics such as "RESISTANCE EXERCISE" and "SURVIVAL" that appeared in the late stage belong to the core topics, while newly emerging topics like "FRACTURES" and "PROTEIN" belong to the marginal topics, indicating that the research on muscle and bone metabolism in the field of sarcopenia has yet to be further in-depth, and the "CANCER" topic is a highly promising research topic with strong development potential.

Heterotopic gastric mucosa (HGM) can occur in all segments of the gastrointestinal tract, but rectal is very rare. In recent years, rectal HGM is more often treated by endoscopic resection (ER). ⋯ Rectal HGM has acid secretion function and HP can be colonized, causing a variety of symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloody stool, and anal pain and has the potential risk of malignant transformation; resection is the best treatment method, and ESD has its unique advantages and can be promoted in the clinic.

Currently, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is presently a recognized treatment modality for patients with severe aortic stenosis who are often old, disabled, frail, and have low exercise capacity (ExCap). It is further expected from this therapy to improve quality of life by improving of the cardio function performance. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation (CR) on patients after TAVI. ⋯ Our analysis indicated that exercise-based CR programmers had significant effect on patients after TAVI in improving exercise tolerance and functional independence.

The level of ratio between matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) and tissue inhibitor matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) after prolotherapy intervention and the functional outcome in patient with frozen shoulder: A randomized controlled trial.
To determine the effect of prolotherapy on functional outcome changes, along with ratio of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1)/tissue inhibitor matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) as an indicator of tissue repair in the glenohumeral joint in frozen shoulder patients. ⋯ Prolotherapy is considered to play a role in repairing cartilage based on biomarker assessment, particularly the ratio of MMP-1/TIMP-1-prolotherapy effectiveness in improving functional outcome and Numerical Rating Scale score.

To explore the differences in postoperative knee joint function and prognostic quality of life in patients undergoing posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction at different timing of surgery under the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol. A total of 266 cases of PCL injury admitted to our hospital between March 2019 and October 2022 were included in this retrospective study and divided them into a short-term group (147 cases with PCL reconstruction completed within 3 weeks after injury) and a long-term group (119 cases with PCL reconstruction performed 3 weeks after injury) according to the timing of surgery after injury. All patients received ERAS care during treatment. ⋯ A similar complication rate was also determined in the 2 groups (P > .05), but the Short-Form 36 Item Health Survey scores were significantly higher in the short-term group (P < .05). Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale in both groups decreased after treatment (P < .05), and no statistical difference was determined in nursing satisfaction (P = 198). PCL reconstruction within 3 weeks after PCL injury is more conducive to the recovery of patients' knee joint function, and the ERAS protocol can more effectively improve the therapeutic effect of patients.
