Elbow dislocation is the second most frequent joint dislocation after shoulder dislocation. They have a high relevance because they can result in subsequent damage and limitations in range of motion. The treatment options are controversially discussed. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to review the literature and analyze the evidence of early functional rehabilitation. ⋯ Conservative therapy is the dominant therapy. Regardless of the primary therapy chosen in simple elbow dislocations: early functional follow-up care seems to be superior to immobilizing therapy with a duration more than 2 weeks.

Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a very common event in elderly noncardiac surgical patients. The effects of inhalational anaesthetics and propofol on the incidence of POCD and postoperative cognitive status at different time points after surgery are currently unclear. ⋯ The sample size was not sufficiently large for systemic inflammation, and the tools to identify POCD were not uniform in the included studies.

Patients with lumbar disc herniation, who undergo spine surgery, occasionally complain of pain and functional disability. Fortunately, the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery has emerged recently. As a result, patients seek traditional Chinese medicine after spine surgery. This systematic review will thoroughly analyze and synthesize evidence on integrative traditional Chinese medicine therapy for lumbar disc herniation after surgery. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/KP47A (https://osf.io/kp47a).

Chinese herbal medicines for mild cognitive impairment: A protocol for meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis.
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI), as a common neurodegenerative aging disease representing an intermediate stage between normal cognitive functioning and dementia, poses an excessive burden on health care. The clinical benefit of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) for MCI remains inconclusive. This study is aimed at evaluating the efficacy and acceptability of CHMs through meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis (TSA). ⋯ This study will provide reliable evidence and references for the selection of CHMs in therapy and future clinical research of MCI.

Adjuvant ovarian suppression for premenopausal hormone receptor-positive breast cancer: A network meta-analysis.
Ovarian function suppressor (OFS) plus either tamoxifen (TAM) or aromatase inhibitor (AI) could improve the survival outcome for premenopausal hormone receptor-positive (HR+) breast cancer. However, the optimal OFS-based regimen and medication duration remain uncertain. This article aims to systematically evaluate the OFS-based adjuvant endocrine therapy for premenopausal breast cancer. ⋯ OFS+TAM might be a better option than OFS+AI for premenopausal intensive adjuvant endocrine therapy. Stage III patients are more suitable for the OFS-based therapy. For the medication duration, the 2-years course of OFS+TAM could be effective. This analysis provides helpful information for selecting therapeutic regimen in intensive adjuvant endocrine therapy and identifying the target population.
