Postanesthesia Complications in Pediatric Patients with Previous SARS-CoV-2 Infection: A Cohort Study.
Children with SARS-CoV-2 infection are at increased risk for postanesthesia complications. There is minimal data regarding how long that elevated complication risk persists beyond initial SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis. ⋯ Postanesthesia complications are higher in children who undergo anesthesia within 7 days of SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis. Additional cardiac risk may persist beyond the immediate period of initial diagnosis. Larger samples are needed to further evaluate the risk of delayed postanesthesia complications and guide optimal timing of surgery.

Clinical features and outcomes of SARSCoV-2 infections may change between different waves of the pandemic. The objective of this study was to compare clinical characteristics and outcomes between two cohorts of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 during the first and second waves in Argentina. ⋯ Compared to patients admitted during the first wave, patients admitted with SARS-CoV2 during the second wave in Argentina were more seriously ill and had a higher mortality.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is associated with increased morbidity and mortality among immunocompromised patients. Tixagevimab-cilgavimab (Tix-Cil) is a combination of 2 monoclonal antibodies approved for the prevention of COVID-19 complications in this high-risk group. ⋯ Tix-Cil provides protection against COVID-19 complications in immunocompromised patients with suboptimal immune responses to vaccines.

Comparative Study
Which sequence should be used in the thorax magnetic resonance imaging of COVID-19: a comparative study.
To evaluate and compare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequences that could potentially be used in the diagnosis of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). ⋯ All 5 sequences evaluated in the study were successful in showing the parenchymal findings of COVID-19. Since the T2W-FSE-P sequence had the best scores in both interobserver agreement and ICC for the image quality score, it was considered that it can be included in thorax MRI examinations to assist the diagnosis of COVID-19.
