Symptom persistence and recovery among COVID-19 survivors during a limited outbreak in Canterbury, New Zealand: a prospective cohort study.
In Canterbury, near complete identification of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases during a limited outbreak provides unique insights into sequelae. ⋯ Persistent symptoms and longer recovery times were found in COVID-19 survivors, but not impaired generalised anxiety levels or HrQoL compared with COVID-19-uninfected participants.

Monitoring the vaccination of pregnant women against pertussis - single-centre one-year study in the Czech Republic.
This observational study aimed to analyse data from big maternity hospital, determine the vaccination coverage and provide source information for further activities. ⋯ It is necessary to raise awareness of recommendations for pregnancy vaccination among public and professionals, to emphasize the benefits of such vaccination in order to increase the vaccination coverage (Tab. 3, Ref. 31). SARS-CoV-2 infection is confirmed with the polymerase chain reaction test. Its positivity is determined by the cycle threshold (Ct), which is inversely proportional to viral load. ⋯ The Ct value, correlated with other patient characteristics, can guide the prognosis, as well as the design of interventions that limit the spread of the virus within the population.

COVID-19 is caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus and turned into a pandemic in a short time, affects many organs and systems, especially the nervous system. In the present study, it was aimed to determine the morphological and volumetric changes in cortical and subcortical structures in recovered COVID-19 patients. ⋯ As a result, it was seen that COVID-19 negatively affected many structures related to the nervous system. This study is a pioneering study to determine the consequences of COVID-19, especially in the nervous system, and to determine the etiology of these possible problems (Tab. 4, Fig. 5, Ref. 25). SARS-CoV-2 infection is associated with inflammation, decrease in antioxidants and oxidative damage. We aimed to investigate whether ubiquinol, reduced form of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), with mountain spa rehabilitation (MR) will contribute to recovering of patients with post-COVID-19 syndrome. ⋯ Accelerated recovery of patients with post-COVID-19 syndrome was proven after mountain spa rehabilitation and ubiquinol supplementation. Increased systemic and cellular CoQ10 concentration alleviated clinical symptoms and improved antioxidant protection of the patients. We draw attention to the importance of monitoring and ensuring adequate levels of CoQ10 in post-COVID-19 syndrome (Tab. 2, Fig. 1, Ref. 45).
