Family Caregivers' Experiences With Telehealth During COVID-19: Insights From Michigan.
Telehealth can benefit older adults during COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to understand benefits and barriers to telemedicine visits for older adults from the perspectives of family caregivers. ⋯ Telemedicine is a likely to remain beyond COVID-19 and can facilitate access to and continuity of care. There are barriers, however, that must be addressed, especially among older patients.

Exploring Health-Related Quality of Life Burden in Peanut Allergy and the Potential Benefit of Oral Immunotherapy: Estimation of Health State Utility Values for Children and Adolescents and Their Caregivers.
This study aimed to estimate utility values for health states relating to oral immunotherapy (OIT) for peanut allergy (PA), for children with PA and their caregivers. ⋯ This study is the first to assess utilities relating to OIT for PA. The results show the potential benefit of OIT for individuals with PA and their caregivers and provide values for use in cost-effectiveness evaluation.

Meta AnalysisNavigating the caregiving abyss: A metasynthesis of how family caregivers manage end-of-life care for older adults at home.
Demographic changes (global aging, decreased fertility, increased home deaths) will present a critical need for end-of-life family caregivers of older adults at home. In order to support these family caregivers, we need to better understand their experiences, struggles, and needs. ⋯ Family caregivers of older adults at the end of life navigate a variety of challenges. The findings provide a conceptual framework to help guide the development of education, interventions, and health policy to meet family caregivers' needs in providing quality end-of-life care.
