To assess the prognostic capability of the maximum standardized uptake values (SUVmax) measured in the primary tumor and axillary lymph nodes (ALNs) by pretreatment fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography and analyze outcomes according to the molecular breast cancer subtypes. ⋯ SUVmax from pretreatment is a significant prognostic factor for EFS in patients with breast cancer. Despite several limitations, correlation with molecular subtype (luminal type) was demonstrated. Further large-scale studies are required to investigate the precise prognostic capability of SUVmax.

In this study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACIs) in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). ⋯ This study initially confirmed the efficacy and safety of HDACIs for the treatment of RCC. Due to the limitations of the included studies, more high-quality studies are needed to validate the conclusions.

Acupuncture and moxibustion combined with cupping for the treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia: A meta-analysis.
There are still controversies between the curative effect of acupuncture combined with cupping therapy and western medicine for post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN). Our meta-analysis fully incorporates the research of acupuncture combined with cupping therapy versus Western medicine for PHN, aiming to explore the difference in the efficacy of the 2 therapies, so as to provide guidance for clinical treatment. ⋯ The effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with cupping in the treatment of PHN is significantly higher than that of conventional western medicine, and it can significantly prevent the occurrence of PHN. Chinese medicine should be used more widely in the treatment of PHN.

Accuracy of novel antigen rapid diagnostics for SARS-CoV-2: A living systematic review and meta-analysis.
SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid diagnostic tests (Ag-RDTs) are increasingly being integrated in testing strategies around the world. Studies of the Ag-RDTs have shown variable performance. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we assessed the clinical accuracy (sensitivity and specificity) of commercially available Ag-RDTs. ⋯ In this study we found that Ag-RDTs detect the vast majority of SARS-CoV-2-infected persons within the first week of symptom onset and those with high viral load. Thus, they can have high utility for diagnostic purposes in the early phase of disease, making them a valuable tool to fight the spread of SARS-CoV-2. Standardization in conduct and reporting of clinical accuracy studies would improve comparability and use of data.

Use of traditional Chinese medicine as an adjunctive treatment for COVID-19: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
This review aims to evaluate the supportive effects of frequently used traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). ⋯ The integration of TCM with Western medicine has significantly improved the treatment for COVID-19 patients compared to Western medicine treatment alone. Combined therapy using TCM and Western medicine revealed the potential adjunctive role of TCM in treating COVID-19. However, high-quality clinical studies are still required to further evaluate the efficacy and safety of TCM in the treatment of COVID-19.
