To present a case-based discussion on the workup of male factor infertility and review currently available treatments. ⋯ Male fertility assessment and treatment has historically been left in the hands of fertility specialists, creating a bottleneck for patients to receive fertility care. However, with increased understanding of the underlying causes of male factor infertility, the workup and initial management can occur in the primary care setting, helping to streamline care.

[Old and depressed and/or demented? - Pseudodepression vs. pseudodementia].
Many elderly patients suffer from both, depressive symptoms and cognitive deficits. Clinically, it oftentimes appears unclear whether the affective or the cognitive problems are primary or secondary. ⋯ A careful history and clinical investigations are necessary to identify the underlying diseases, but they do not always offer sufficient therapeutic guidance. If in doubt, the condition should always be considered as potentially reversible and treated emphatically (but with age-appropriate caution).

[Prevalence and factors associated with partner violence among pregnant and puerperal women in Santiago, Chile].
Violence against women (VAW) is a violation of women's fundamental rights and special attention must be paid during the gestational and postpartum period. ⋯ Violence against these women is a multifactorial, complex and structural phenomenon, which involves the victim, the abuser and the entire social system. Primary health care level and health professionals can be key elements applying early detection strategies, timely referral mechanisms and bringing emotional support for victims.
