Efficacy of Epley's maneuver plus betahistine in the management of PC-BPPV: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
To evaluate the efficacy of Epley's maneuver plus betahistine in the management of patients with posterior canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (PC-BPPV). ⋯ This meta-analysis shows that Epley's maneuver plus betahistine in PC-BPPV patients had favorable effects on DHI score.

At present, evidence of the role of oral hygiene in ICU-related pneumonia is rare. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of toothbrush-based oral care in preventing ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) in patients with mechanical ventilation in the ICU. ⋯ Tooth brushing combined with chlorhexidine mouthwash can prevent VAP in patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU. There is no advantage of tooth brushing combined with chlorhexidine mouthwash over cotton wipe with chlorhexidine mouthwash for preventing VAP in these patients.

There is controversy over the drainage threshold for removal of chest tubes in the absence of significant air leakage after selective pulmonary resection. ⋯ This meta-analysis revealed that it is feasible and safe to remove a chest tube with high-output drainage after pulmonary resection for selected patients.

This review aimed to verify the clinical effects of traditional Chinese medicine in collaboration with conservative conventional medicine for lumbar herniated intervertebral discs (LHIVD). ⋯ Traditional Chinese medicine in collaboration with conservative conventional medicine can be used to relieve pain and facilitate better function of the lumbar spine in lumbar herniated intervertebral disc cases. However, this conclusion should be applied with caution in clinical practice owing to the low quality of the included studies.

Maternal voice reduces procedural pain in neonates: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Procedural pain management is a very important part in the clinical care of neonates. We aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of maternal voice on neonatal procedural pain, to provide insights to the clinical pain care of neonates. ⋯ Maternal voice is beneficial to reduce procedural pain and improve the physiological indicators in neonates. It is still necessary to conduct high-quality, large sample studies in the future to further elucidate the effect of maternal voice on neonatal pain care.
