The objective of this study is to systematically evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of electroacupuncture combined with conventional drugs in the treatment of stable angina pectoris. ⋯ The current study results found that electroacupuncture combined with conventional drugs can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with stable angina pectoris compared with conventional drug therapy, with a low incidence of adverse reactions, but the number of high-quality literature with rigorous study design protocols is currently low, which may cause bias in the results of this study, so the above conclusions need to be further verified through clinical trials.

The associations between blood urea nitrogen (BUN)/albumin ratio and poor prognosis in patients with diagnosis of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) remain to be clarified. ⋯ This meta-analysis demonstrated a positive correlation between BUN/albumin ratio and poor outcome in patients with COVID-19. Additional large-scale prospective studies are needed to verify our findings.

Effects of late evening snacks on glucose homeostasis in cirrhotic patients: A meta-analysis.
Insulin resistance and hepatogenic diabetes are common complications in patients with liver cirrhosis. Previous studies have shown that reducing the fasting phase by supplying a late evening snack (LES) is a potential intervention to improve substrate utilization and liver function. However, the underlying mechanisms need to be further elucidated. The purpose of current meta-analysis is to evaluate effects of LES on glucose homeostasis in cirrhotic patients. ⋯ Meta-analysis indicated that LES not only improved malnutrition in cirrhotic patients with or without diabetes but also maintain glucose homeostasis in cirrhotic patients with diabetes. LES is a promising and simple intervention that beneficial to maintain glucose homeostasis in cirrhotic patients.

CtDNA's prognostic value in patients with early-stage colorectal cancer after surgery: A meta-analysis and systematic review.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) positivity has been shown to suggest the presence of minimally residual tumor cells in numerous investigations. We aimed to assess the prognostic value of ctDNA positivity for recurrence-free survival in patients with early-stage colorectal cancer after radical surgery and following adjuvant chemotherapy. ⋯ CtDNA positivity may potentially be a predictor for early-stage colorectal tumor recurrence following surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy.

The aim of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of proximal femoral nail anti-rotation (PFNA) versus dynamic hip screw (DHS) for the treatment of unstable intertrochanteric fractures, including the available evidence drawn from the literature. ⋯ Analysis of a large number of relevant clinical indicators available shows that PFNA has better clinical manifestation than DHS in treating unstable femoral intertrochanteric fractures.
