AbstractWe evaluated the implementation of a labor and delivery unit team training program that included didactic sessions and simulation training with an active clinical unit. Over an 18-month follow-up time period, our team training program showed improvements in patient outcomes as well as in perceptions of patient safety including the dimensions of teamwork and communication.Copyright © 2012 Mosby, Inc.
