AbstractHistiocytic sarcoma (HS) is an extremely rare non-Langerhans cell disorder with an aggressive course and limited treatment options. HS most often presents at an advanced clinical stage, with a limited response to chemotherapy and high mortality. No standard treatment has been established for HS. We herein describe the first case of HS concomitant with laryngeal carcinoma that was promptly diagnosed and successfully treated; the condition of the patient has remained stable for 4 years with no recurrence.
