AbstractThe demand oxygen delivery system has been reported to improve oxygen delivery 7:1 vs steady flow during rest and exercise in COPD patients. The present study evaluates the DODS during rest and exercise in eight patients with restrictive lung disease. It was concluded that the DODS provides substantial oxygen savings in RLD patients, particularly during exercise.
