AbstractMeckel's diverticulum is the most common congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a true diverticulum containing all layers of the intestinal wall and identified as a saccular, blind-ending structure located on the antimesenteric border of the distal ileum. Most patients remain asymptomatic during their lifetime. Symptomatic cases are nonspecific and can present as small-bowel obstruction, diverticulitis, perforation, gastrointestinal bleeding, and rarely, a neoplasm. Therefore, the radiological diagnosis is of paramount important for proper patient management.
