Abstract1. Managers must be knowledgeable about AIDS and able to act on issues that surface in the workplace. Some of these issues are discrimination, fear, and confidentiality. 2. Fear of AIDS is being managed better in places of business where education is provided to employees. This education results in a more productive work environment. 3. To deal with AIDS in the workplace in a socially responsible manner, every company must have guidelines and provide a source of education. This education must be readily available and easily understood by all employees, who may have differing educational levels.
