AbstractIn their article, See and colleagues reported a study of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), also known as vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT), a rare complication associated with receipt of the adenoviral-vectored COVID-19 vaccines ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 (Oxford/AstraZeneca) and Ad26.COV2.S (Janssen/Johnson & Johnson). The editorialists discuss the similarities of TTS with spontaneous heparin-induced thrombocytopenia.
