AbstractWe compared the analgesic effects of a suprascapular nerve block with intra-articular local anaesthetic in 20 patients presenting with acute anterior glenohumeral dislocations. The intra-articular local anaesthetic technique was a simpler procedure which provided significantly more analgesia for patients.
