AbstractWe report a 58-year-old woman with catatonic stupor superimposed on hereditary spinocerebellar degeneration (SCD) and psychotic depression. The catatonia and psychotic depression resolved with 11 sessions of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Early recognition of catatonia during the course of SCD is important for timely administration of ECT.
