ImplicationsAnimal-experimental studies demonstrate desflurane's trigger effect for malignant hyperthermia (MH). In contrast to other anesthetics, the time interval from exposure to the occurrence of symptoms is much longer with desflurane. This case report focuses on MH induced by desflurane alone.
