AbstractWe report the case of a 36-year-old man who underwent neurosurgery for a T9 spine fracture consecutive to a fall. The patient had complete postoperative blindness which did not totally recover during the hospital stay. Decreased visual acuity and postoperative vision loss are not uncommon in spine surgery. Such postoperative complications in spine surgery are severe. To avoid them, it is mandatory to identify the contributing factors and set up a preventive strategy.
