    AbstractMRSA was once acquired almost exclusively in hospitals and long-term care facilities, but it is now spreading in the community. Controlling the spread of MRSA requires appropriate selection and administration of antibiotics, and strict asepsis and infection control efforts. Remember that the most important means of preventing the spread of MRSA is meticulous hand washing and the use of alcohol-based hand rubs.
