AbstractAbdominal pain related to pancreatic cancer or chronic pancreatitis can be a disabling and difficult symptom to treat for patients, their families, and physicians. Pharmacologic therapy with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is usually ineffective. Opiate analgesics may not be well tolerated and can lead to dependence. Endoscopic ultrasound-guided celiac plexus block offers a potential adjunct treatment for pain control.
